Jesus once told a man who asked to follow Him: "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man has nowhere to lay His head." Luke 9:58
What is the purpose of a bird's nest? They don't live in them; they build them to have babies. What is the purpose of a fox's hole? It's a safe place to have babies.
Jesus eventually found a place to lay His head and "have babies". It's found in John 19:30:
When Jesus had received the vinegar He said, "It is finished," and He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
"Bowed His head" and "lay His head" are the exact same words in the Greek text. On the cross He "laid His head" and became the "firstborn of many brothers and sisters" Romans 8:29 His death and resurrection opened the way for us to be born from above, made alive and raised up together with Him even while we were still dead in sin, and made to sit with Him in heavenly places. Ephesians 2:5,6
In Him, you are more than a follower of Yeshua. You are a new species of being (2 Cor 5:17), no longer of the first Adam but of the last Adam. (1Cor 15:45-47)
